Bira members can now access a brand-new UK-wide digital service for accessing government support, which makes it simpler, faster and fairer to apply for government grants.

The service, which is free to use, is called Find a Grant and is available here.

As of July 2023, over 200 schemes worth over £5.3bn have already been advertised on the service. Soon all eligible government grants will be advertised here.

Work with the devolved administrations and local authorities is also being carried out to offer the opportunity to advertise on Find a Grant.

From the home page of the service, you can also register for a weekly email to alert you to the new grants that have been uploaded over the past 7 days.

This new service is a welcome development for Bira members, as it will make it easier for them to find and apply for government grants that they may be eligible for.

Here are some of the benefits of using the new Find a Grant service:

  • It is easier to find grants that you are eligible for, as you can search by keyword, region, sector and other criteria.
  • The application process is faster and more efficient, as you can complete and submit your application online.
  • The service is fairer, as all applications are assessed on the same basis.

Bira members are encouraged to register for the new Find a Grant service and to start exploring the range of grants that are available.

Here are some tips for finding and applying for government grants:

  • Start by thinking about what type of grant you are looking for. What are your specific needs and goals?
  • Once you have a good understanding of your needs, you can start to search for grants that are relevant. You can use the Find a Grant service to search by keyword, region, sector and other criteria.
