Wales implement two-week 'circuit breaker' lockdown

All non-essential shops, bars, restaurants will be forced to close for two weeks in Wales from 6pm on Friday (October 23) as part of a 'circuit breaker' lockdown.

The Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford made the announcement this morning, imploring people to stay at home unless absolutely essential.

The measures are part of efforts to curb the rising number of cases of coronavirus.
