Ready to reopen? Government updates its guidance

The Government has updated its Covid safety guidance for retailers ahead of the reopening of non-essential retail in England on April 12, 2021.

The document - COVID-19 - Response Spring 2021 - sets out the Government's roadmap for each stage of the easing of restrictions.

Under step 2, which will not be before April 12, non-essential retail will be allowed to reopen along with personal care premises such as hairdressers and nail salons. Hospitality venues will be allowed to serve people outdoors without the need for customer to order a substantial meal.
