Shop For Britain is back - here's how you can join the campaign

The Daily Mirror is bringing back its Shop For Britain campaign to urge shoppers to return to their local independent retailers once lockdown has been lifted.

And as part of the initiative, which first ran last June, Bira members are being given the chance to once again have their names and business details published in the pages of the national newspaper - along with messages to shoppers.

The newspaper, part of Reach PLC, is planning to run the campaign ahead of the reopening of so-called 'non-essential' retail in England on April 12, 2021.

The first Shop For Britain coincided with the reopening of retail last summer after the first lockdown and urged people to shop locally and, whenever possible, buy British, to help businesses start to bounce back. It received cross-party support including that of Chancellor Rishi Sunak.

If you would like to see the name of your business published on the pages of The Daily Mirror send your details (name, name of business, location, type of business) - along with a message of encouragement for shoppers and why support is so important to graham.hiscott@mirror.co.uk

  • Bira is also working with Mirror's parent company Reach PLC on its #BackForGood campaign. More about that here.
