'Small shops could have to shut if hit by pingdemic', Bira CEO tells a national newspaper.

In a comment piece in the Daily Express, Andrew Goodacre explained the challenges ahead for independent retailers if they or their staff are 'pinged' by the NHS test and trace app.

 

The article follows reports that industries are being struck by staff shortages with supermarket Iceland planning to recruit up to 2,000 workers to have on 'stand-by' if permanent workers have to slef-isolate.

Andrew says this solution is 'not realistic' for the indie retailer.
