Wales will be plunged into a new lockdown from Friday (December 4, 2020) however, non-essential retail will be allowed to remain open.
Under the new measures announced today by Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford, pubs, bars and restaurants will not be able to sell alcohol, and will have to shut at 6pm.
Cinemas, bowling alleys and other indoor entertainment venues will also close, but non-essential retail, hairdressers, gyms and leisure centres can stay open.
The move, to prevent the spread of Covid-19, follows the previous 'firebreak' lockdown between October 23 and November 9.
Meanwhile, the Welsh Government has released further information about the grants available to businesses impacted by the pandemic. Read more here for the latest information
