Bira joins forces with Daily Telegraph for new Keep Cash campaign

Bira has joined forces with the Daily Telegraph's for its new Keep Cash campaign.

Bira members featured in an article launching the initiative which is working to keep cash exchanges in retail following a marked rise in the use of card during the pandemic.

William Coe (pictured below), Bira's President, along with other members Steve and Libby Holden, of The Olive Branch in Essex, and Shirley Leader of Velvet & Rose in Petersfield, made their pledge to the campaign.

Shirley said: "I don't understand why other businesses would refuse customers paying in cash."

Bira CEO Andrew Goodacre added his voice too. "We must acknowledge many people do not want to or cannot access cards for payment," he said.

The Keep Cash campaign mirrors the work Bira has been doing with Which? magazine's Cash Friendly pledge. More here
