Victoria, a visionary entrepreneur, launched Green Street in Bradford in late 2020 as part of her role on the Retail Sector Council. Victoria has over 25 years of retail experience from working in senior roles in large corporations to building and growing the single unit family retail business to a multiple site, award winning organisation serving  over one million customers a year.

Drawing on her retail expertise, implementing sustainable solutions and a passion for community-driven transformation, Victoria now has a clear mission: to propel the UK's 5.5 million SMEs toward a more sustainable future.

Green Street aims to make sustainability accessible to independent high street businesses that are central to local communities. Green Street evolved from a simple website into a leading organisation, launching its first Pioneer Programme in Bradford in 2022, followed by another in Newcastle in 2023 which is working with 40 businesses. These programmes equip businesses with the tools to embrace sustainability.  Victoria is also the driving force behind Borro which is currently being piloted in Manchester and Bradford and is bringing returnable packaging to our high streets.

Victoria’s approach fills a gap in traditional sustainability business support, which often focuses narrowly on carbon reduction. Instead, Green Street demonstrates that sustainability can enhance business performance, benefit communities, and protect the environment. Under her leadership, Green Street has become a beacon for SMEs, continuing to work towards showing that sustainable practices are not just possible but also advantageous.
