One month left to put your town forward for £20,000

There’s now just one month left to enter Let’s Celebrate Towns 2026, the national programme run by Visa in partnership with Nationwide, which Bira is proud to support as a partner.

Entries close on Sunday 25 October, giving towns across the UK one final opportunity to put themselves forward for a share of funding for projects that support local communities and small businesses.

Five categories for towns to enter

Five towns will each receive £20,000 towards community-led projects and initiatives, with entries being accepted across five categories. These are High Street Revival, for towns bringing empty units and tired parades back to life; Backing Local Business, for practical support that helps independent businesses start and grow; Protecting Valued Places, for saving or reopening somewhere the town cares about; Connected Places, for getting people into town and connecting them to each other; and Community Pride, for the events, volunteering and traditions that help make a town unique.

A town can be entered by its MP’s office, a councillor or member of the local authority, or its Business Improvement District (BID), on behalf of local businesses, community groups and residents. The entry process takes just a few minutes, so towns are encouraged to put themselves forward now rather than miss the deadline.

The five winning towns will be announced at a ceremony in Parliament on 14 December, with Bira hoping to see one of its members’ towns among those recognised.
