The challenges for retailers as Covid restrictions are lifted was the point of discussion when Bira's CEO was interviewed by the BBC.
Andrew Goodacre spoke to BBC World Business Report about how indie retailers will navigate the post-lockdown world, as final restrictions were lifted in England on Monday (July 19, 2021).
He spoke about the difficulties retailers may face in encouraging shoppers to continue to wear masks - which are no longer mandatory in England - as the number of coronavirus cases continue to rise.
Andrew said the onus on this had been unfairly passed from the Government to the retailer.
