Bira CEO Andrew Goodacre has been confirmed as a judge for the 2026 Boutique Star Awards, as entries open for one of the independent retail sector’s most recognised celebrations.
Now in its sixth year, the awards shine a spotlight on the retailers and suppliers making a real impact across the independent fashion and lifestyle sector.
Andrew joins a respected panel of industry experts, retailers and event leaders, bringing together a wealth of experience across retail, wholesale and brand development.
His involvement reflects Bira’s continued commitment to championing independent businesses and ensuring their achievements are recognised at a national level.
With 20 categories available, including Fashion Independent of the Year and Womenswear Brand of the Year, the awards offer an opportunity for businesses to showcase their success, strategy and what sets them apart in an increasingly challenging retail environment.
Entries will be judged in an initial round over the summer, with finalists announced in August before the judging panel meets to decide the winners.
The awards are free to enter for independent multi-brand retailers and suppliers, with the deadline set for 31 July. Winners will then be revealed at a ceremony in Central London this November.
For independent retailers, the awards provide not just recognition, but a valuable platform to raise their profile and celebrate the resilience, innovation and community impact at the heart of the sector.
