#100DaysOfIndies, Bira celebrates Indies and encourages the public to shop independent during the run up to Christmas

The 100 day countdown to Christmas started on Thursday 16th September, and with everyone talking about the future festivities, we have used this to encourage the public to shop independently for their Christmas needs.

For most of our members, the Christmas trading period looked very different in 2020, with impact from national and local lockdowns. This year, we're encouraging the public to support independent retailers during this busy period.

So join us in celebrating independent retailers throughout the UK!

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Share and interact with our daily social media posts about independent retailers like you
  • Share your own posts about your favourite fellow indies or your most recent purchases using #100DaysOfIndies
  • Activley visit your local indies
  • Make a list of all the indies you want to visit, and take a few friends to visit them
  • Follow indies on social, and share their posts
  • As an independent retailer, tag us in your posts and use the hashtag #100DaysOfIndies
