Bira members scoop top gongs at Excellence in Housewares Awards

Bira member Barkers of Northallerton was named best indepedent department store at the Excellence in Housewares Awards 2021.

The awards were held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on Wednesday (October 6).

Other Bira members who picked up awards included Potters Cookshop (pictured), Hockley, for exellence in retail training; Divertimenti, London, for excellence in retail display (independent), and Borough Kitchen, London, for multiple or small group retailer.

Bira Direct sponsored the award for the best independent department store.

 

Bira CEO Andrew Goodacre attended the event. He said: "It was great to see so many Bira members winning."

Suppliers for Bira Direct including Dexam and Le Crueset also won awards for product excellence.
