Bira has been nominated for the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award at the 2026 Trade Association Awards for its Love Your High Street Awards campaign, which celebrated and rewarded independent retailers across the UK.
Bira launched the inaugural Love Your High Street Awards this year, attracting 588 nominations and 217 entries from independent retailers nationwide, with Headhunters Barber Shop & Railway Museum in Enniskillen winning the top accolade in a public vote of over 2,230.
The campaign has been recognised by the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF) upcoming awards, which recognise excellence across the association sector and honour organisations that have delivered for their members, their community and their wider sector over the past year.
Bira’s Love Your High Street Awards was won by Headhunters, run by brothers Gordon and Nigel Johnston since 1981, blends traditional barbering with one of Ireland’s largest railway artefact collections and was chosen from eight finalists that included record shops, bookshops and design stores.
Other nominees for the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award alongside Bira include The ABI & Pensions UK, Automatic Door Suppliers Association Ltd and the British Parking Association.
The TAF Awards are sponsored in partnership with the Road Haulage Association and will be presented in February 2026 at a ceremony bringing together trade association professionals from across the UK.
The Love Your High Street Awards were also followed more broadly by Bira’s Love Your High Street campaign, which took place from 10–16 November 2025 and encouraged communities to back local independent shops, restaurants and service providers with free marketing assets for businesses and social media engagement using the #LoveYourHighStreet hashtag.
