Wardrobe Dunmow based in Essex is keen to show the community extra support while adding their unique twist.
Owner Nikki Anthony, who has run the store for 15 years, recently held a Recycling Sale.
She decided to utilise the local press to get her story out and garner some interest from the area, asking people to bring in items to her shop, that they weren't wearing but wanted to sell.
Nikki said: "We had an incredible response. We had so much come into the shop we eventually had to stop taking stuff, we had mountains of it!
"There was a lot of work involved in doing it as everything had to be labelled and a price agreed with the seller. But it was all worth it!
"We sold around 140 items in three days once it got going about lunchtime Thursday there was a steady flow and a few really busy periods each day.
"The local Community really enjoyed it and thought it was a great idea. Lots said they hoped we would make it a regular event."
Nikki made sure they agreed with customers what they wanted for each item, and took a 25% commission to cover costs. They also kept it above High Street brands to try and maintain a good quality and different things, and prices ranged from £10 to £100.
She added: "The idea came about after I was chatting with my hairdresser about how we needed to start Recycling our clothes as we both had some lovely bits which we no longer wear and the ideal evolved from there."
