Ofgem is helping businesses, including independent retailers, look out for energy scams and who to contact if you are suspicious of any fraudulent activity.
Scammers might contact you pretending to be Ofgem in person or via email or telephone. These are energy scams and it's important that you report the scam to Action Fraud, the reporting center for fraud and cyber-crime in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Scotland, contact Police Scotland on 101.
