Please tell us how long you have been in business for, Abbie.

I have a proven track record in business, having held senior positions, predominantly for global high-tech companies within international human resources. This extensive experience has given me a wealth of knowledge and a broad perspective on business operations and culture. In January 2023, I channelled this expertise into the launch of Click Style, a fresh enterprise in the home decor online marketplace. While Click Style is in its infancy, the foundation of the business is built upon years of insight and a dedication to excellence in customer experience.

Tell us about your best achievement of being a business owner and running your own business so far?

Since Click Style's launch, I'm proud to say our brand has caught the attention of esteemed publications such as Ideal Home, The Sunday Times, HomeStyle, The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine and numerous highly respected lifestyle publications. This visibility is a testament to the quality and appeal of our products.

Also, whilst I am no eco-warrior by any means, my journey towards understanding and implementing sustainability practices has been both enlightening and rewarding. We have an initiative to plant a tree for every sale. As of November 2023, Click Style has planted over 700 trees. This tangible impact on our environment has been recognised with the awarding of our Carbon Offsetting Sustainability Badge.

What has your most popular product been this past season?

We have seen popularity across a diverse range of products, catering to varied tastes and budgets across the UK. Yet, it’s our cushions and furniture collections that have truly set the pace. Their success is a nod to our commitment to offering exceptional quality and style.

What has worked best in speaking to your customers? 

Engaging regularly with our customers has been most effective, which we do via social media and direct email. This ongoing dialogue ensures their voices are heard and integrated into the continuous enhancement of our offerings and services at Click Style. You can find our socials below:

What has been the most challenging part about your business so far?

Every challenge is viewed as an opportunity for refinement and improvement. We're currently fine-tuning our website to better drive traffic, and I am even learning a little coding myself! We love feedback from our customers and adapt our processes to continually improve.  

Do you do much work within your community?

I actively engage within my local community and enjoy writing articles for local and national magazines. It’s an aspect of the business I find particularly rewarding. 

What advice would you give future store owners looking to go into your field?

I'd say never underestimate the effort required to launch a new brand and business, particularly one that prioritises exceptional user experience and customer service. Making your mark takes dedication. Embrace new technologies and maintain a learner’s mindset.  Have faith in your ability and relentlessly follow your dreams while continuously making both big and small improvements every single day.
