Profile

Speedy Products Ltd

From humble beginnings to international trading

Almost 50 years ago, Ivor Seddon had a vision and a desire to innovate and develop the world of curtain and blind hardware.  This passion drove a market stall trader to become a manufacturer, designer and an international trader.

The initial part of his vision inspired him to grow and develop a UK based manufacturing and distribution centre.  The second part required a more adventurous leap into the world, this lead him to open a Chinese manufacturing plant.  This allowed Speedy Products Ltd to sell globally.
Our innovation has not just been focused solely on products but also on technology and the reduction of waste packaging, packaging design and ongoing review of our carbon footprint.  Every year we strive to move forward and achieve more.

We’re constantly evolving!

Standing strong today, the headquarters, sales, administration, warehousing and product development teams are still based in Salford, UK.  Since 2008, Speedy Products Ltd have been the proud owners of a window decoration facility in China called Paloma.  No one is better placed to deliver the products, value and service that today’s retailers and consumers demand.

Quality assurance accreditations: ISO9001 & BSCI.

Consumer health and safety accreditations: EN13120 & Reach

We have pioneered a number of customer safety initiatives within our products and have also incorporated our own child safety features to match the most rigorous standards and requirements.

Environmental and eco logistic initiatives: Sedex and Wrap.

We were the first company to establish a zero cardboard logistic system for all our core product lines, with bulk products packed within collapsible pallet boxes that are returned to Paloma for reuse.  Wherever it has been possible we have introduced paperless ordering and accounting.

Responsibility has always been a key part of our company philosophy.  As we have grown, so too have our own quality and care policies.

Quality control and product testing

We have established a sophisticated quality control testing facility, at Paloma, where the very latest technology is operated by highly experienced technicians who constantly monitor and control our production standards.

Supporting this department is a resolute test team whose task is to ensure that all output and any new product matches our stringent quality and company standards.

Test include, longevity, UV deterioration, temperature testing, stress testing, weight testing, sea salt corrosion testing and more.
