The promoter of this prize draw is British Independent Retailers Association (Bira)

Eligibility

  1. The prize draw is open to retail businesses based in the United Kingdom.
  2. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over and authorised to act on behalf of the business they represent.
  3. Only one entry is permitted per business.
  4. Employees of Bira Group and their immediate family members (including spouses, partners, parents, children, siblings, and members of the same household) are not eligible to enter.
  5. Businesses that are not current Bira members may enter.

How to Enter

  1. To enter, eligible businesses must provide their commercial insurance renewal month via the designated form.
  2. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
  3. Entries must be received by 11:59pm (BST) on 20 August 2026.
  4. Incomplete, illegible, or duplicate entries may be disqualified. 

Promotion Period

The prize draw opens on the date the promotion is launched and closes at 11:59pm (BST) on 20 August 2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be included.

Prize

  1. One winning business will receive £1,000 credit on a Bira Direct account.
  2. The prize credit may only be used in accordance with Bira Direct's standard terms and conditions.
  3. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
  4. If the winning business is not a current Bira member, it will be provided with one year's complimentary Bira membership to enable access to and use of the Bira Direct account credit. 
  5. Any membership awarded as part of the prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative benefit. 

Winner Selection and Notification

  1. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date.
  2. The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date.
  3. The winner will be notified using the contact details provided at entry.
  4. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 14 days, or is found to be ineligible, Bira reserves the right to select an alternative winner. 

Data Protection

  1. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed in accordance with Bira's privacy policy.
  2. Information provided will be used by Bira Insurance and its insurance partner, Ascott Insurance, to contact entrants regarding their insurance renewal and to provide a quotation where appropriate. 

General

  1. Bira reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  2.  Bira's decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. Bira accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete due to technical or other reasons beyond its control.
