About Bira Direct Plus
Bira Direct Plus is Bira's own online buying portal where independent retailers can order from our wholesale suppliers quickly and easily. Our members have asked for the option to purchase from our suppliers online - we've listened and delivered!
Any Bira member or Bira Direct guest user can use our Bira Direct Plus online ordering platform. You'll need to complete a form to get login details. Click here to get your login details here

You can't currently order from all Bira Direct suppliers on Bira Direct Plus as we are in the process of onboarding them individually onto the platform. You'll see new suppliers added regularly so keep an eye out on our emails and the Bira newsletter. If you'd like to request a particular supplier, please use the feedback form here to let us know.
If you already have an account set up with STAX then STAX will be another supplier you should be able to see. You will be assigned to the STAX branch you currently use. (Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Glasow).

Getting started
You will need to request a login to have access to Bira Direct Plus. Fill in this form to get your login details here. You will then receive an email from orders@biradirect.co.uk with your login details. Please make sure to check your spam/junk folder. If you still haven't received any email, you can re-request your login details here.
Please note that your login details for our Bira website are not valid for our Bira Direct Plus ordering portal. You will need to fill in the form to get your login details specifically for the Bira Direct Plus portal.
Search in your inbox for an email from orders@biradirect.co.uk with your login details. Make sure to check your junk/spam mailbox as well, or if you still cannot find it, you can re-request your login details here.
The system will generate a random password, which will be contained in your welcome login details email. Bira recommends you change this password when you first log in and abide by any cyber security policies you have for password strength. We recommend a minimum of 12 characters; use upper and lowercase numbers and symbols. You can change your password in the menu item “my setup”/”my account setup”. At the same time, you can update your contact details.
Start using Bira Direct Plus
You can access all the latest offers by logging into Bira Direct Plus and visiting your chosen supplier. On the top navigation menu, click on 'Special Offers' to see all the exclusive offers from this specific supplier. Alternatively, you can receive all Bira Direct Plus offers straight to your inbox by signing up for our mailing list. We will send you all the latest exclusive offers from suppliers available only on Bira Direct Plus.
You can build different shopping lists for each supplier depending on your various needs. Add your products to your basket, tick those that you want to select and then click on the 'Add to List' button. Please enter the name of a new shopping list or select from the pop-up list to add items to an existing shopping list. This will add your items to your new Shopping List. You can then go back to view all your shopping lists by clicking on 'Shopping Lists' on the main navigation menu. We recommend adding regularly purchased items to your shopping lists.
Please note that Shopping Lists are built separately for each supplier.
Select your chosen supplier, click on 'Browse', search for an item, select your chosen item, and click on the grey star above the product; it will then turn yellow. You can then go back to the main menu and select 'Favourites' to view all your favourite items.

Select the supplier you want to buy from and click on 'Browse'. In the Search box, you can search for the name of a product or the product code if you know it. On the app version, you also have the option to scan the barcode of products in your shop by clicking on the barcode icon. You will need to grant permission to access your camera in order to scan the product's barcode or QR code. You can then add the products to your basket by clicking on 'Select' and 'Add to Basket' (desktop) or by simply clicking the + sign on the app.
This function is only available when using the app on your phone or tablet. Simply click the barcode icon and scan the barcode of a product you've previously bought from any of our suppliers that are live on the portal. Please note you may need to allow permissions for the app to access your camera.
When a member first logs in, there will be no order history. As orders are placed via the portal, they will appear in your 'History'.
Did you know you can use your history to help fill your basket next time? (using the + button). From the 'Order History'/'History' section, you can email yourself a copy of the order using the PDF button. Orders placed via other methods than from the portal won’t appear in your order history.
We will not be offering members the opportunity to swap and compare prices as this is not a comparative site. What you can do is build multiple orders for different suppliers, fill those baskets independently and keep them open at any time to build your separate orders.
As you might be aware, we have a desktop version of the Bira Direct Plus app. You can build your orders from both the app and the desktop version at the same time, as they have shared baskets. So you can build your supplier baskets by scanning items in your shop where stock is low, and barcodes are available, and you can then complete your order on your computer later in the day or even at home; it's that easy!
Please mention Bira Direct Plus to your sales representative and they might help you build your orders.
When using the desktop version, you'll simply click on the word 'Delete' directly under the relevant item in your basket. For the app, you need to tick the item and click on 'Clear' at the bottom. You can also swipe on IOS devices and click and hold on Android to delete items. Please note that baskets are built separately for each supplier.
Yes, this is available only on the desktop version for now. Where on the far menu on the right, it says “import” choose the file you have created that must match this template. So, if you can get your till/POS to export a CSV file with low stock with SKU, Quantity and Unit of measure, an import will create the basket for you. You can do this for all suppliers, although that may not be necessary. You can still add to your basket with your phone and scanner until you reach your final order. The importer also lets you know what items are out of stock.
You can find extra information like suppliers' terms and conditions as well as suppliers' brochures and important documents. The Media Library is only available on the app version for now.
Pricing and charges
Bira Direct negotiates terms, minimum order values and carriage paid order values. These are reflected in Bira Direct Plus. Your basket should adjust to the correct charges before the order is placed and/or as you amend your basket.
All prices exclude VAT. Any Bira special discounts are included automatically at checkout. Special pricing should be active for each supplier.
Once your order is placed on Bira Direct Plus, an order confirmation email is sent to the supplier picking the order and sending the order out to you. Some suppliers will allow back-orders and sometimes there will be items that have gone out of stock since the order was received. The invoice will be generated on the actual stock sent out for delivery. On a rare occasion that the price is different on Bira Direct Plus from the invoice, you should find that the lowest price available to you will appear on the invoice, this could then mean your invoice would be lower than the order.
