Bira Direct supplier Amefa announce price increase from February 2023

Due to the unprecedented and continual challenges in the global supply chain, Bira Direct supplier Amefa has announced an unavoidable price change on some of their products from 1st February 2023. 

Amefa is a company that specialises in the manufacturing, marketing and supply of Cutlery and Kitchen Knives for Industrial and Domestic use.

In a letter to their customers and business partners, their Managing Director has said:

Dear Customer,

I am writing to advise you that despite making continued improvements to our in-house sourcing efficiencies and reducing our business overheads, we are now no longer able to absorb in full the increases we have experienced to our operating costs.

Due to the significant impact of the ongoing global economic crisis, we are experiencing sustained levels of higher pricing on our products driven by FX related costs higher labour and raw material increases from our Asia factories.

Additionally, we have been significantly impacted by Covid/Brexit related freight increases due to the shortage of containers and increased border check administration to ensure compliance to the recent separation of the United Kingdom from the EU.

As a result, we will be passing on some of these price increase to our product price list for the 2023 season effective from 1st February 2023.

Your salesperson will be in contact with you to discuss the implementation of the cost increases to your account.
