Due to ongoing cost pressures, Bira Direct supplier APerry has announced an unavoidable price change on some of their products from 1st June 2022. 

Established in 1925 by Arthur Perry, they are a family-owned and run ironware business based in the West Midlands. They have grown the business over those years and can now boast of being the largest supplier and manufacturer of hinges, ironmongery, chain and threaded bar in the UK; delivering products around the UK, rest of Europe and worldwide.

In a letter to their business partners and customers, they have said:

After what has been and still continues to be turbulent and challenging times over the last couple of years, we hope all our customers and colleagues remain safe and well.

Whilst the industries within which we trade have proven to be resilient in light of the numerous challenges faced, the fact remains that unprecedented local and worldwide pressures continue within the supply chain.

As I am sure everyone is aware and is indeed experiencing in their own businesses, cost inputs continue to rise across all areas. Raw materials, fuel costs, transport, packaging and the sustained high container rates (which have still not dropped to anticipated levels) have reached levels that we can no longer continue to absorb.

Rather than a wholesale across the board price increase, we have looked at individual range costing/pricing structures and stockholding within categories, and will be implementing the following changes for orders placed with effect from 1st June 2022:

  • D & D Gate Hardware – NIL % INCREASE
  • PERRY Anti Bacterial Wipes - NIL % INCREASE
  • All fixings including Perry Pro and Tenz woodscrews - NIL % INCREASE
  • Ironmongery, chain and hardware – 9.5% INCREASE
  • Equestrian Rubber Matting – POA
  • Equestrian stable and yard ranges – ONGOING PRICE LIST REVISION
  • Primus garden ornaments and giftware - NIL % INCREASE
  • Manufactured Threaded Bar and U Bolts / Engineered Fasteners – POA
  • Standard 1mtr Threaded Bar - 9.5% INCREASE

Please note that Perry Point offers and discounts remain in place for all orders placed via www.perrytrade.co.uk

Any scheduled orders already placed for delivery before 30th June 2022 will have prices honoured at current rates. Any future dated scheduled orders will need to be reviewed with your Business Development Manager.
