Due to the persistence and severity of increases in raw materials, packaging, fuel and the imminent energy cost hike, Bira Direct supplier Everbuild Building Products has announced an unavoidable price change on some of their products from 1st June 2022. 

Everbuild – A Sika company owned by Sika AG, are UK’s leading sealant, adhesive and building chemical brand.

Sika Everbuild have absorbed as much of these increases and held product prices where possible to help support Bira members as much as the business can but due to the impact of the increase in costs, Sika Everbuild are forced to increase their prices. They appreciate that price increases are never welcome but we are all too familiar with the exceptional circumstances in the world currently which are impacting both our professional and personal lives, it is unavoidable that increases as a result of this impact our industry however unwelcome this is for us all.

In a letter to their business partners and customers, they have said:

Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine, in addition to the humanitarian tragedy, has had an extreme and unprecedented impact on our procurement. Extreme cost increases in energy, oil and logistics are impacting our supply network and as a result, we must notify you that further surcharges are expected to hit our supply chain over the next few weeks which shall mean further price increases.

As a result of this unprecedented market volatility, we will be implementing a further price increase from the 1st June 2022. In the interim, ordering patterns will be monitored with abnormal ordering patterns rejected due to stock availability.

Notification of the exact price increases on all products affected via Everbuild/UKD is attached below.

We are aware that the changes in the marketplace are moving at a fast pace and may be difficult to follow so we encourage you to reach out to your local Business Development Manager should you require any further assistance.
