Just in time for the winter season, Dexam have launched a new limited edition colour from the French cast iron brand Chasseur. The new Chasseur Forest range is available now in their bestselling sizes of round and oval casseroles.

The range includes a 20cm and 24cm round casserole and a 29cm oval casserole dish. Each has rounded side walls and a curved interior base, making for easy stirring and oh-so satisfying one-pot cooking. Their heavy lids with unique concentric rings create a self-basting effect that keeps your food tender and moist while retaining the flavour. As well as making a style statement, the engineered stainless steel lid knobs can withstand temperatures up to 260°C. They’re specially designed and contain a groove to act as a spoon rest. Each casserole has a pair of enlarged and rounded handles ensuring they are easy to grip and lift even with oven gloves or mitts and when full.

The enamelled cast iron warms gradually, accumulates heat evenly and retains it for a long time. The casseroles are therefore great for slow cooking, simmering and making delicious soups and stews. They are also ideal for searing meat on the stovetop before putting in the oven to complete the cooking process. The casseroles suit any hob type, including induction and they are also dishwasher safe.

Each Chasseur casserole is made from over 40% recycled material. Furthermore, only locally sourced raw materials are used - the entire cost price of the Chasseur casserole comes from France. The Chasseur foundry in Ardennes has led the field in environmentally friendly production: every product mould is broken down and reused, and a state-of-the-art filtration system minimises potential pollution to the local environment. All Chasseur products are manufactured according to strict quality standards and are built to last. A lifetime guarantee is offered from the date of purchase.

Bryony Dyer, Managing Director of Dexam, commented: “We believe that there are some things which simply allow no compromise and, for us, French cast iron cookware is one. Chasseur has been producing exquisite quality cookware for over 75 years, each piece double-enamelled and checked for quality by a skilled human being, not a robot. What’s more, against the competition, the Chasseur range provides quality French cast iron at an affordable price.”

She continues: “An on-trend colour for 2022, green brings a sense of well-being and calm into our lives and has positive associations with a fresh start - something we can all get on board with after the pandemic. The trend for greens is driven by our emotional connection to nature, and this new deep, vibrant and earthy Forest is a colour inspired by the dense foliage of our woodland. We are incredibly excited to launch this limited edition colour for Winter 2022.”
