Dexam’s Product Manager, Helen Boardman, completed ‘Walk the Wight’ in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities on 14th May 2023. The team of friends raised 150% of their original target for RMHC who had supported a close friend for 18 months whilst their child was receiving treatment at St George’s Hospital.

Helen Boardman joined 7,800 other walkers to complete the 26.5 mile walk from the East to West coast of the Isle of Wight. The walk is well attended each year in support of many charities the next to take place on 12th May 2024!

The Ronald McDonald House Charities have 14 locations based near the most specialist children’s hospitals around the UK. They house families who have children being cared for or undergoing treatment in these hospitals. All accommodation is supplied to families totally free of charge for however long they need which is why their work as a non-profit is so important. Offering a home away from home, RMHC houses offer parents and siblings a warm, safe and comfortable place to rest during these difficult times.

The Dexam Trust sponsors and supports many charities and funds but when a member of staff or member of the ‘Dexam family’ takes on a challenge they always endeavour to support and Helen’s achievements justified a very well-earned donation. The Dexam Trust also supports many local West Sussex organisations such as Stone Pillow, Challengers Bumblebee Conservation Trust, UK Harvest and many more.
