Bira Direct supplier Sika Everbuild announce another price increase on all Everbuild, Sika owned and private label products. Everbuild – A Sika company owned by Sika AG, are UK’s leading sealant, adhesive and building chemical brand.

In a letter to customers, they have said:

Dear Customer,

As a valued customer you will no doubt be aware, we are committed to developing, manufacturing, and supplying the highest quality products for the building industry, cementing our name as the UK’s brand in our sectors.
Whilst we are pleased to say that the construction industry remains busy and relatively buoyant, today’s rapidly changing climate does continue to bring with it a number of challenges. We have successfully managed these challenges internally, ensuring that we continue to supply our loyal customers with the products the industry require.
In recent months the economy has been recovering from Covid-19 faster than expected due to strong Government support and high consumer confidence resulting in strong consumer spending on physical goods.
Issues with freight, factory staffing due to Covid-19 restrictions and shortages of certain raw materials have all led to increasing pressure on the UK business supply chains. With demand levels consistently increasing and the lower than forecasted raw material availability we are experiencing an unprecedented pressure on supply.
Sika Everbuild has a national procurement team that continues to secure the raw materials we require to produce our high-quality product offering. Sika Everbuild’s procurement team are also challenging many of the proposed increases by leveraging our global purchasing influence, and whilst we continue to do what we can to prevent and mitigate any proposed increases, we are nevertheless presented with some that must be passed on.

Please be advised that from 1st of October 2021 the following increases will be applied, and a full list of affected SKUs will be issued in due course.

Due to the exceptional circumstances of the global pandemic and impact on the supply chain we are unable to provide our normal notice period.

These price increases are being taken to ensure that we can continue to get allocation of key raw materialsthat come at an inflated cost in the current climate and in turn allows us to be able to supply material to our customers. We are monitoring the rapidly evolving situation daily and as such we are unable to rule out further increases in the future.

All forward orders will be priced as of date of dispatch and to alleviate the pressure fromour sales team, whilst also preventing delays in supply to you, we would appreciate all future purchase orders to state the up to date pricing as per your account.
