After learning how to create your LinkedIn company page in our LinkedIn Beginners Guide For Retailers: Part One, you can now start creating content on your company’s profile and share it with all your valuable connections on LinkedIn.
Now you’re ready to start posting on LinkedIn!
Showcase your company’s expertise by sharing great content to your followers and relevant to your industry.
These are the types of content that you can share:
- Company news
- Industry articles
- Thought-leadership pieces
- Poll followers with questions
- Videos, photos, links to content
There is also a new content suggestion feature to help you get suggestions on content to post by filtering for audience, industry, location, and more. This way, you can make sure to create content that is relevant and informative for the people working in your field or industry, who are more likely to interact with your posts.
Another tip for simple and easy content on LinkedIn is to share relevant posts from employees, partners, and clients in your industry. You can also post about what your team has been up to, and if one of your employees has achieved some milestones, you can congratulate them on your page in a few simple steps. Click here for more detailed information on how to share Trending Articles, Employee Milestones, and Company News.
You can also use the Notify Employees button in the upper right corner of your posts to encourage employees to engage with key posts. Employees will be notified via desktop and mobile that your organisation has shared an update with them through their notification updates.
Posting every day is the most effective way to attract and engage with your followers. Don’t forget to Like your posts that people share on their profiles, to reply to all comments in a timely manner and to react or comment on other people’s posts too!
Remember, LinkedIn posts are more engaging when you share images or videos in your posts.
Share your page
Let people know your LinkedIn Page is up and running. If you have employees, send a company-wide email with the news. Let them know how they can follow the page and add it as a place of work. Link to your Page in your email signatures, newsletters, and blogs.
Promote your page with your customers as well. Make use of all your digital touchpoints—newsletter, social channels, website—and ask for follows. When you do, tell people what’s in it for them, from job opportunities to LinkedIn Live sessions.
Last but certainly not least, don’t forget that page admins can also invite their connections to follow. Simply click the Admin Tools dropdown in the upper right corner and select Invite Connections.

Add LinkedIn buttons
Add social media icons to the header or footer of your website or newsletter so it’s easy for people to find your LinkedIn Page. Find the most up-to-date version of LinkedIn’s logo and brand guidelines here.
You can also add LinkedIn Share and Follow buttons on your website with LinkedIn Plugins. Plugins are a quick and easy way to drop LinkedIn functionality into your website. Use the Follow Company Plugin to allow your users to easily follow your company page on LinkedIn.
