Due to the unprecedented and continual challenges in the global supply chain, Bira Direct supplier Burg Wachter (Sterling) has announced an unavoidable price change on some of their products from 1st November 2021. 

Burg Wachter (Sterling) Burg-Wachter are a leading International manufacturer of security products. With over a 100years heritage, quality, servcie and support is at the forefront of what we do, serving a diverse customer base globally. They offer added value services through key suiting options and also provide 3rd party drop ship on selected product categories and also provide full support for in-store category merchandising and a variety of display options. All of which is supported by a national Sales Team, that provide local contact.
Within the UK, Burg-Wachter also promotes the Sterling brand. Combined, our main product catgories are: Padlocks (Key Suiting available); Door Security; Cylinders (Key Suiting available); Safes; Post Boxes; Security Cables & Bike; Key Cabinets; Smart Home (Alarm & CCTV).

In a letter to their customers, their Managing Director, Andrew Field has said:

Dear Partner,

As a valued customer of Burg-Wächter UK we wish to inform you that there will be a price change implemented from 1st November 2021. Due to the unprecedented and continual challenges in the
global supply chain we are sadly forced to increase prices in order to ensure we can provide our customers with the continued level of service and compliance expected.


Raw material availability and continual cost increases have seen our supply chain already absorb a series of double digit supplier increases throughout the last 12 months. Unprecedented shipping
cost increases have made it impossible to not pass on a fair portion of these cost increases.

This is not a decision that has been taken lightly and one that has seen us review our cost base from end to end.

The Price increase has been set at circa 9% but you can expect to see lower prices and some higher prices. The full list of new individual SKU prices will be supplied by email, hard copy price list and/or by your areas sales manager.

We are happy to commit to reviewing prices again in the future as and when conditions improve and savings can be passed back to our customers.
