Following the continued success of their School of Wok range, Dexam are introducing an array of new Asian cooking accessories for 2023. The latest additions, which are available now, are a wok clock and microwave rice and vegetable steamer. A variety of knives and cleavers are also due to launch later in the year.
The School of Wok range is a wonderful collection of woks and Asian cooking accessories to enable enthusiasts to practice the art of Asian cookery with excellence from the very start. New for 2023 is the wok clock – a unique multi-purpose tool for stress-free stir-frying. This tempered glass wok clock helps you prepare and cook your ingredients in the correct order thereby simplifying any recipe! First, prepare your ingredients and place them on the wok clock as per the illustrations. Start at 12 o'clock and work your way clockwise around the clock follow the timings of your stir fry or other wok recipes. The wok clock can also be used as a worktop saver, protecting your surfaces from the heat of the wok or pans.

Also new to the range is a microwave steamer which allows you to get perfectly cooked rice and steamed vegetables every time. The steamer has a large capacity to allow cooking of a wide range of vegetables and enough rice for family-sized meals. Made in the UK from tough polycarbonate with a clear lid for visibility and is dishwasher-safe.
To cook rice, simply pour the rice into the basket and rinse under running cold water until the water is clear. Place the basket inside the bowl and cover with boiling water. Cover the lid and microwave on full power for 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes. Allow to stand for 2 minutes, then fluff using a fork and serve. The process is similar for cooking vegetables. Prepare the vegetables, place in the basket and rinse under a cold tap. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of water in the bowl, place the basket inside the bowl and replace the lid. Microwave on full power – referring to pack instructions for cooking times.
